A reinterpretation of Ralph Ellison’s classic Invisible Man, this project reimagines the narrative through a feminine lens. By transforming the title to Invisible Woman, I explore themes of identity, visibility, and erasure from a different perspective. I created two alternate cover designs that contrast minimalism with bold symbolism, each highlighting the tension between presence and absence. The redesign aims to honor the legacy of Ellison’s work while inviting new conversations about gender, race, and representation.
A reimagining of L. Frank Baum’s classic, this cover uses bold lettering and sketch-based illustration to create a layered, dynamic design. The word Oz dominates the composition, woven between emerald motifs that reference the iconic Emerald City. A palette of white, gold, and green underscores the story’s themes of purity, magic, and growth. The design seeks to capture both the timeless wonder of the tale and the richness of its visual symbolism
